Little Flowers Girls Club

The Little Flower Girls Celebrate Mother's Day - May 7, 2022

​

On Saturday May 7th the Little Flowers enjoyed a Mother's Day Tea Party with their families. There was a light luncheon, flower and gems BINGO, a cake walk, and the Little Flowers were presented with all the badges they have earned so far in the year. Congratulations on all the virtues you have been practicing!

Little Flower Girls Learn About the Virtue of Obedience   -  May 4, 2022

On Wednesday May 4th the Little Flowers met to learn about the virtue of obedience through the example of Joan of Arc and symbolized by the carnation flower. The girls listened to a lesson while they scrapbooked, ate snacks, played a 10 commandments balloon game, decorated cardboard shields, and played obedience maze games.

Little Flower Girls Participate in Easter Activities  -  April 20, 2022

The Little Flowers celebrated the liturgical season of Easter together making stained glass crosses, decorating foam eggs, decorating and ate cookies, and performed relay races sliding eggs with spoons and their noses. Then the Little Flowers also performed a trash clean up of Saint Pius grounds in celebration of Earth Day.

Little Flower Girls Learn About Love of Neighbor  -  April 6, 2022

The Little Flowers learned the virtue of Love of Neighbor through the example of Saint Frances de Chantal through games, crafts, and fellowship. The Little Flowers made scrapbook pages, did a search and find relay to make a love of neighbor poster, ate rose themed crafts, made friendship bracelets, played "I love my neighbor who.." game, did an angel lacing craft, and enjoyed music.

Little Flower Girls Celebrate Lent  -  March 23rd, 2022

The Little Flowers celebrated the liturgical season of Lent together by making Paschal candles (that Father blessed), walking through the Stations of the Cross with Jesus as they made station eggs, played palm leaf relay races, playing right/left as they listed to the Passion Gospel, enjoyed music, snacks, more games, and fellowship.

Little Flower Girls Learn About the Love of God  -  March 9th, 2022

The Little Flowers learned about the virtue Love of God through the example of Saint Agnes and represented by the peony flower. The Little Flowers made scrapbook pages and enjoyed a wonderful lesson, made tissue paper peonies, and foam lambs (Saint Agnes's name means lamb), gathered lambs, sang songs, enjoyed lamb popcorn balls and peony cupcakes, and lots of laughs!

Little Flower Girls Celebrate the Feast Day of St. Valentine - Feb. 16, 2022

The Little Flowers finished their spiritual bouquets they had started last meeting, made LOVE pennant banners, exchanged cards, enjoyed music and snacks, read books about Saint Valentine, and played BINGO.

The Little Flower Girls Learn the Virtue of Hope - Feb. 2, 2022

 

The Little Flowers learned the virtue of Hope through the saintly example of Saint Monica. They started making spiritual bouquets, enjoyed snacks that reflected their quote "Hope must encircle and cling to your heart like the climbing ivy." - The Catholic Girl's Guide. They also sang songs of hope and played games, including growing ivy tag and growing ivy wrap race.

The Little Flower Girls Learn the Virtue of Faith - Jan. 26th, 2022

 

At the Jan. 26th meeting, the Little Flowers learned about Saints Therese of Lisieux and Catherine of Siena and the virtue Faith by praying, hearing saint stories, and scrapbooking Bible verses. Faith was represented by a sunflower and the Little Flowers enjoyed snacks and crafts to match. They also played games including finding "FAITH" by popping balloons and defended themselves with their "Shield of Faith" and sang songs and danced together.

The Little Flower Girls Hold an Epiphany Party - Jan. 19th, 2022

 

The Little Flowers made crowns, followed the star in a life-size board game, did a starry night watercolor craft, sang and danced to 3 kings songs, ate snacks (including king cake and clementines) read a 3 kings book, and chose a virtue as their guiding star for the next year.
