Subject: Strengthening Our Parish Community: The Knights of Columbus Council 6586
Dear Parish Family,
As we continue to grow and thrive as a community, I want to take a moment to consider the benefits reactivating Knights of Columbus Council 6586 could have at our parish.
Founded in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney in New Haven, Connecticut, the Knights of Columbus was established to provide assistance to Catholic families and support the church. Today, this organization boasts over 2 million members worldwide, dedicated to charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism.
In our parish, the Knights of Columbus could serve as a robust support network, conducting charitable works, organizing community outreach initiatives, and building strong bonds among parish members. Their efforts can enhance our youth programs, promote family values, and contribute to various charitable causes locally and beyond.
Having a Knights of Columbus Council 6586 would empower our men to engage more deeply in our faith, foster camaraderie, and respond to community needs effectively. Together, we can make a profound impact on our parish and the wider community.
If you are interested in learning more about how a Knights of Columbus Council can benefit our parish or want to get involved, please let me know. Once we have established the level of interest, we will schedule an informational meeting in the near future after Sunday Mass.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to enrich our parish life.
Blessings,
Father Louis
